On a Wednesday a few weeks ago, I tagged along with fellow comrade Kodomut as does voluntary work at the local library helping out with the arts and craft sessions as well as storytelling. Fellow comrades from the WLNF (Yukito, Saiseki, ScorcNRoses, Dcal) also tagged along to assist with the daily activities.
I admire him as he is one of the most busiest and hardworking people I know as well as a photographer I often look up to and especially a great friend. He does little short stories with figures if interested you can find his site here.
Being too free, I offered a helping hand to him as we all know kids can be a handful sometimes and figured he could use the assistance (even though he probably doesn’t require it).
Hope you like the pics! For the full gallery you can find it on Flickr here.
Many kids and many helpers pitching in for community service hours…
From a kid’s point of view…
ScorchNRoses tended to the two mischievous sisters on the right…
However I tended to the quiet and lonesome girl on the same table…
Our job was simple…assist the kids with whatever they needed help with when crafting their colourful flowers…
Some needed extra help…
Others got distracted…
In the end, majority of them completed their pretty flowers…
The third girl on ScorchNRoses’ table was really quiet, she a quick learner and very obedient…if more kids could be more like her
She was on of the first to finish and ended up teaching me how to make the flowers as my skills in arts and craft were terrible
Saiseki seemed to be enjoying himself… ^.^…he seems to have a knack for kids
Kodomut’s prized jewel…heheh
So cute kyaaa!~
The faster the kids made the flowers the more they could make…
Was a fun and interesting experience…hope to join a few more arts and craft library sessions before I depart back to Australia.
