With my final exams over all I had in my mind was Cosfest X.1 which was one of Singapore’s biggest cosplay events of the year. Being my first cosfest I was told that the ongoing tradition was to book a chalet there at the venue which also allowed easy and convenient access to the venue. Me being clueless about the whole chalet thing I sought help from some friends who were kind enough to accommodate an extra person. Chalets also allowed for me to see a whole knew experience to the whole overnight/cosplay scene which proved to me pretty fun and enjoyable. Unforunately I was unwell for the entire duration so I didn’t really take as many photos as I would have liked. It also had been about half a year since I saw everyone so It was nice to see familar faces from my previous trip although I wish I had more time to catch up with everyone. Saw several new faces and were kindly introduced by friends so I’ll be sure to find later in the year to say hello.
Despite everything many cosplayers turned up and so far I think this is some of the best the Singapore cosplayers have yet to offer. Every year I come back costumes seems to get bigger, brighter, and fancier. It’s also nice to see some of characters from the latest seasons of anime so there’s a freshness to the entire although its still nice to see some classic characters roaming around.
Was also able to catch up with fellow WLNF members Zh3us, Scorch, Dcal, JJ, Nutcase23, Ex14, Seiseki, Inferno, Alafista, Esphal, oOgA, Bel-chan, Yukito (Y U GO JAPAN) and Kodomut (Y U NO GO COSFEST).
I also had a request for a inpromptu photoshoot for Hikari and Marcus for the series Gintama which I happily accepted although there are quite a number of photos I’ll do a separate post for them later as there are already a large number of photos in this post alone. Thanks guys for request!
With all that said I’d like to give a special thanks to John Smith to organized the chalet for us, Ionicle and Speedknight for humbling allowing me to joining their room, Yivon, Yuki, Wendy, Justice, Joel, Marcus and Hikari (forgive me if I missed anyone else) for making it a memorable fun 3 days of antics.
