Once again I was invited by Hikari and Marcus for their Gintama photoshoot. I present to you Marcus as Gintoki Sakata, Hikari as Shinsuke Tagasuke, Jonathan as Tatsuma Sakamoto and finally Aaron as Kotarou Katsura.
As some of you may know this photoshoot took place during Cosfest X.1 so for those living in Singapore you can probably guess where this shoot took place. For those that don’t you can find Pasir Ris National Park on the far east of Singapore from Pasir Ris MRT station. It’s fairly close to the MRT so its pretty much within walking distance.
Some little things you might to bring alone are some solid pair of running shoes for lots of walking, sunscreen, water as there are no shops nearby and most importantly insect repellent which I sadly did not have. Little things to note about the place is that it can be populated with people during regular hours so expect people around if you are conducting a shoot. For me I found myself getting down and dirty on the ground for certain shots which I feel were some of the betters ones so expect to get dirty if you want better composed or different shots which I guess applies to photography in general and not just this photoshoot. When entering the swamp area expect a sight rise in humidity so do keep hydrated. I’d like to place extra emphasis on insect repellent as well as long pants (if you can handle the extra heat) as you will most likely be raped by mosquitoes as you enter the swamp area. There’s a nice little bridge leftwards of the park which makes a nice little scenic scene. Also do be mindful of people riding bikes as you take your photos, almost had a few accidents while proceeding towards the swamp.
I’d like to thank Marcus, Hikari, Jonathan and Aaron for the photoshoot. I hope to see your cosplays in the future. The full gallery can be found here on Flickr within the same album of Cosfest X.1.

OMG this can be the real live action gintama!

Hahaha yeah it is, when I compared it to the reference pictures they showed me they looked pretty similar to the real thing.
